July 2025 Indeed Update: A Smarter Way to Budget for Results

*Note* – Indeed has postponed this change for later in the year. Although the rollout has been postponed, this update still points toward a smarter, more structured way to plan – and a real opportunity to get ahead.

From 8th July 2025, Indeed is rolling out a small but significant change to how Sponsored Jobs are managed – and if you’re advertising roles on the platform, it’s worth taking note.

So, what’s changing?

Indeed will now require a minimum of £15 per individual job ID.

In plain English:

  • You’ll no longer be able to ‘average out’ your budget across multiple jobs
  • Each individual job will need to hit that £15 threshold to remain sponsored
  • If you regularly repost or rotate roles, this could quickly eat into your campaign total

This isn’t about spending more – it’s about budgeting smarter.

The good news?

At Artfully, we’ve already been planning for this.

Our campaigns are built around performance, efficiency and structure, which means most are already aligned with this new model. But for businesses not yet aware of the shift, this is the perfect opportunity to take stock.

Why is this happening?

This change is actually designed to improve performance quality across the board.

By assigning a clear investment per job, Indeed is encouraging stronger visibility, better matching, and more consistent results – especially on hard-to-fill or high-priority roles.

It’s less about budget increases, and more about intentional allocation.

What should you be reviewing?

Here’s what to keep in mind as the change rolls out:

  • Reposting strategy – Jobs that are changed frequently may now need a more strategic cadence.
  • Campaign structure – Streamline your postings. Remove duplicates, group locations, focus on urgency.
  • Job prioritisation – Make sure spend is going towards roles that will move the dial for your business.
